underground house and techno Shanghai
Ben Westwood <<< Fish <<< Nat Alexander <<< Shanghai_Ultra
DJ fish DJ Fish represents the next generation of young Chinese electronic music artists blazing a new trail through the developing scene. Nat Alexander Nat Alexander was, like Shanghai_Ultra, a listener to John Peel’s radio show and wanted (though didn’t get) his first set of decks at the age of fourteen. He started listening to dance music in earnest at the start of the arrival of the rave scene Shanghai_Ultra adopted his curious moniker following a year-long stay near the city in 2000-2001, where he encountered the unique body-techno of the Blue Devil fan group of Shanghai Shenhua FC. MHPMHP completes the Shanghainese contingent of Void. Essentially a techno producer, MHP's innate understanding of techno music and its descendants is impressive for someone who grew up in a country where no such scenes existed. Ben HuangBen Huang needs no introduction to those familiar with the Chinese electronic music scene. A pioneer in a country where electronic music barely existed 10 years ago.
